A creamy, luscious Italian dessert that offers a silky smooth texture and can be flavored in myriad ways.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup sweetener (sugar, honey, or maple syrup)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Heat the heavy cream with the sweetener over medium heat, stirring gently.
  2. Ensure it doesn’t boil and sweetener is fully dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and add softened gelatin, stirring until dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into molds and cool slightly.
  5. Transfer to the fridge and let it chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Notes

Avoid freezing panna cotta as the texture may change. Store in the refrigerator for up to four days.
