Delightful lemon brownies with a zesty twist, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and sugar) in a bowl.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients (melted butter, eggs, and lemon juice) in another bowl.
  4. Fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool slightly before cutting into squares and adding powdered sugar on top if desired.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature eggs and butter. Don’t overmix the batter to ensure a tender crumb.
