A refreshing and vibrant salad featuring crisp cucumbers and a zesty dressing, perfect for summer picnics or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium cucumbers
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Slice the cucumbers thinly, ideally using a mandoline for uniformity.
  2. Sprinkle them with a bit of sugar and let them sit for about 15 minutes to draw out moisture.
  3. Mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and vinegar in a bowl to prepare the dressing.
  4. Drain any excess liquid from the cucumbers, then toss them with the dressing.
  5. Mix in sesame seeds for an authentic touch.
  6. Serve immediately for the best texture!
