Crockpot Greek Chicken Pitas

Tender slow-cooked chicken served in warm pita bread with refreshing tzatziki sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cucumber, grated
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 4 pita breads
  • Fresh veggies (lettuce, tomatoes, red onion) for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with garlic powder, oregano, and lemon juice.
  2. Place the chicken in the crockpot and pour in the chicken broth.
  3. Set the crockpot on low and cook for 4–6 hours, until fork-tender.
  4. Combine the tzatziki ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate.
  5. Shred the chicken once cooked and fill warm pita breads.
  6. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce and add fresh veggies if desired.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add cayenne or jalapeño. Customize with chickpeas for a vegetarian option.
